Beryllium copper strip

Description

Beryllium copper strip is made of beryllium copper alloy strip with electromagnetic compatibility shielding effect. It can be used to seal the gap between two contact surfaces and provide high shielding effect. The strip can also be made of stainless steel and phosphor bronze according to customer needs. Beryllium copper strip has high relaxation resistance and excellent wear resistance. It can be treated with a variety of metal plating treatments to ensure its compatibility with any contact surface. It will not burn or be affected by radiation.

Application Fields

There are many types and installation methods. It can be used for shielding of various shielding rooms, hatches, chassis doors, covers, and integrated circuits. It can be better used in occasions where the shielding material needs to be placed on the top or side of the shielding body and there is sliding friction. It is suitable for various occasions from small handheld devices to large shielding rooms.

Installation method

Beryllium copper strips are suitable for the following five fixing methods: card type, pressure-sensitive adhesive bonding, welding, slot card and riveting.

●Card type fixing: The strip has a card type structure, which is easy to install and fix.

●Pressure-sensitive adhesive bonding and fixing: The strip comes with a pressure-sensitive adhesive, which is specially used for sticking to metal chassis and has strong bonding ability.

Pay attention to the following points when using:

① The bonding surface must be clean and dry.

② Correctly select the strip bonding position. After the position is selected, press it tightly and avoid repeated peeling and sticking to avoid affecting the adhesive adhesion or damaging the strip.

③ After bonding, the strip should be kept for 24 hours to obtain the maximum adhesion.

●Welding: Use traditional fusion welding to fix the strip.

●Slot card fixing: The slot card method is simple to use, and the strip can move freely in both directions in the slot.

●Riveting installation: Rivets can be made of plastic or metal.

Coating information

Usually, when beryllium copper contacts other metals, it is reasonable to use plating to prevent mutual corrosion. Surface treatments such as bright nickel plating and bright tin plating can be used to meet the electrochemical compatibility with other contact surfaces and meet specific requirements such as corrosion resistance and aesthetics. For example, tin plating is also convenient for welding, and nickel plating can extend the storage time .
